We're located in Wanship, Utah, 35 miles east of Salt Lake City just off I-80 on the Old Lincoln Highway and just 13 miles down the creek from Park City, Utah.
We do pony picnic parties for kids on nice days down by the creek and pony rides on birthdays and stuff like that. We drive pony carts, and when the snow's right we sometimes drive the one-pony-open sleigh.
We're also working on a B&B and horse motel for folks hauling livestock thru Utah on I-80. That B&B can also serve as fine Park City Ski Lodging for folks who come here in the winter to take advantage of the greatest snow on earth, and a couple of the top ten ski resorts in the Country, Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley.
The ranch has a nine acre pasture with a wonderful picnic area on the banks of Silver Creek. Our covered bridge crosses the creek to the Rail Trail that runs between Echo and Park City. The Rail trail follows Silver Creek down from Park City to Wanship and then on to Coalville and Echo.
A donkey, two hinnies, and three ponies make their home here as well as a spoiled pooch and various fowl and lotsa fish in a small pond. We cut some grass in the summer to feed the critters during the snowy winters and buy grain for the geese and the chickens.
Wanship's well known for The Spring Chicken Inn cafe. There's also a gas and convenience store called the Rafter B. The nearest real store is 8 miles east on I-80 in Coalville or 10 miles west on I-80 at Kimball Junction. Folks are friendly. It's nice and peaceful here and a great place to live.
